(AEIS, Trade) succeeded in their enterprise wide roll out of the GuiXT solution for SAP R/3, providing an intuitive and user-friendly interface for their SAP users.
GuiXT is a bundled solution shipped by SAP and available in the SAPGUI. GuiXT increases productivity and user satisfaction by simplifying the screens and streamlining the R/3 processes. Through GuiXT, companies reduce training costs and eliminate the usability barrier between the users and the SAP business processes. GuiXT can be used with standard R/3, SAP CRM, SAPConsole, RF guns, and even Pocket PC and hand-held CE devices.
Advanced Energy rolled out GuiXT for any and all SAP processes that touch more than 5 people. For some material and service processes, Advanced Energy was able to identify potential data-entry time savings of up to 75%. These customizations took AE just two weeks to develop and implement.

If those individuals were absent or unavailable, the helpdesk would receive calls on creating the requisitions, tying up additional resources and delaying the process. By using GuiXT and Input Assistant, we were able to combine screens / transactions tailored specifically to AE, cutting the purchase requisition creation time in half from 8 minutes to 4 minutes," Matt Cook added.
