Synactive GuiXT Offline will reduce infrastructure cost in transportation execution processes.
Foster City, CA, December 14, 2007: Synactive Inc., a leading developer of optimization and simplification solutions for SAP (NYSE: SAP), today announced it will provide BASF Corporation, the North American affiliate of BASF AG (Frankfurt: BAS), the world´s leading chemical company, with software to enable transportation execution processes using offline update transactions.

Synactive´s GuiXT Offline solution will streamline BASF´s in-plant transportation execution processes resulting in a custom offline interface. Bhagwatkar cited reduced infrastructure cost and Synactive's SAP partnership as the primary factors in the decision to deploy GuiXT Offline. With this new rollout, approximately 400 BASF plant employees can anticipate an improvement in the time taken to enter data into SAP by enabling the scanning of transactions and using handheld devices in places where there is no wireless network coverage.
