Scanning Barcodes/QR codes using LiquidUI Android
« on: May 25, 2017, 10:22:30 AM »
Overview:
LiquidUI Android provides the functionality of scanning Barcodes and QR codes to populate value for an inputfield using your Android Mobile device's built-in camera. Hence there is no need to attach any third party device for scanning.
LiquidUI Android also provides scanning features such as Accessible-Enter widely known as Auto-Enter and Accessible-Tab also called Auto-Tab with click of a button.
Usage:
Once you are logged into your SAP system and navigate to any native SAP transaction using LiquidUI Android. You need to single tap on an input field where you wish to populate the value from the barcode to be scanned using device's built-in camera.
The Qwerty keyboard pops-up on the screen with an option "SCAN". Select it to start the built-in camera.
Place the camera towards the Barcode/QR code to scan.
Once scanned the value appears on the screen with four buttons to choose from:

1. Return: This button solves the purpose of an Auto-Enter that is usually performed on SAPGUI.
2. Tab: This button solves the purpose of an Auto-Tab that is usually performed on SAPGUI.
3. Scan: This button can be used if the user wants to rescan the barcode/QR code.
4. Done: This button is used to populate the value of the scanned code into the inputfield.
Hence with LiquidUI Android scanning the Barcodes/QR codes is much easier with its responsive touch interface and mobility while eliminating a need for any third party scanning device.
