Liquid UI is bundled with every release of SAP. It provides SAP users with a method to customize SAP screens and transactions without necessitating any ABAP programming. Instead, users can simply write short scripts that will customize SAP, remove unnecessary screens and simplify the interface. Once you purchase a valid license, you can perform more advanced tasks, such as combining transactions. By default, Liquid UI is inactive. To activate Liquid UI, please do the following:
-
Launch SAP. Press Alt + F12 or navigate to the Customize Local Layout menu as shown in Figure 1.Figure 1: Customize the Layout menu
-
Click the icon and the menu options appear, as shown in Figure 2.Figure 2: Customize the Layout menu
-
Click Activate GuiXT. A checkmark will appear in front of the selected option as shown in Figure 3.Figure 3: Activate GuiXT
GuiXT is now active and you can execute your WS scripts.
Note: Once Liquid UI WS is installed with a valid license, you will need to activate GuiXT in SAP GUI and configure WS.
