Screen elements are utilized to add on an SAP screen for customization. These elements are listed In the upper right corner and are represented by icons as shown below:
To add a screen element to a give SAP screen, click the element and then click on the screen where the element is to be added. It is not necessary to drag the element to the screen. The elements are briefly explained below.
- Text
Adds text to an SAP screen.
- Editfield
Adds an editfield to an SAP screen.
- Radiobutton
Creates a new radiobutton on an SAP screen.
- Checkbox
Creates a new checkbox on an SAP screen.
- Pushbutton
Creates a new pushbutton on an SAP screen.
- Groupbox
Adds a groupbox around a group of elements.
- Textbox
Adds a new textbox to an SAP screen.
- Image
Adds an image to an SAP screen.
- RTF Document
Embeds a RTF document in an SAP screen.
- HTML Page
Embeds a HTML page in an SAP screen.
Once an element has been added to a screen, users can then right-click and select a variety of options from the context menu as shown below.
The context menu options may change based on the type of element selected, but all elements have the following options in the context menu:
- Align

Aligns the element to either the left or right side of the screen.
- Delete

Removes the element from the screen.
- Properties

Displays the element properties dialog. The properties are different for each type of element. We will cover the element properties in more detail later in this document.
- Copy

Makes a copy of the selected element.
- Paste
-
Pastes a copy of the element onto the screen to quickly create duplicates.
